Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists specialise in problems of the muscles and joints, posture and movement. They work with patients to help restore movement and function when this has been affected by an injury or illness.
You may request an appointment with one of the cluster physiotherapists without the need to speak to a GP first. Please request this when you contact the surgery.
Referral for outpatient physiotherapy services can be done via three ways:
- Face to Face Physiotherapy Access Clinic
- Self-referral by phone (see below)
- Self-referral by paper form
Face to Face Physiotherapy Access Clinic
This is a face-to-face assessment clinic that is held in the Baglan Resource Centre (SA12 7BJ). Appointments will be 20 minutes long and must be booked prior to arrival. Booking information can be found here. Appointments will be available for two days in advance. If the clinic is full, we offer alternative phone call assessments (see below).
Self-referral via phone
Physio Direct can be contacted 9am to 10am Monday to Friday on 01792 487453. Leave a message with your name, DOB, and contact number and you will receive a call back.
